We arrived safely in Geneva at about 8:30 am on Thursday morning - the trip was uneventful and we both slept some on the plane. We got off and found our checked bag immediately . . . a good omen. Everything is going smoothly.
The next stop was to pick up our rental car that we are using to make the trip to Chamonix in the French Alps. This was our first time using a GPS and we were very pleased to have it. There are lots of round-abouts and it doesn't appear that all the streets are marked, so it was very convenient to get some "advance instructions" on where to turn. We decided since we were both feeling fine that we would drive to Yvoire, a medieval town on the French side of Lac Léman, before going on to Chamonix.
