We arrived in Chamonix at about 1:00 pm after a beautiful drive. Chamonix is a skiing mecca in the Alps - of course, the skiing season is done for this year. We found our hotel, Les Aiglons, and got checked in. We then took a short walk around the town, but most of the shops were closed for the afternoon break. We came back to the hotel to rest and do these posts. We plan to go out again later this afternoon to explore some more.
