Today we took a road trip to Cassis, a port town on the Mediterranean Sea. It was about an hour away from Lourmarin. We had a spectacular weather day, so it was fun to see the beach and all the boats. We spent time on the beach, walked around the town and then had lunch in a cafe. I took the picture of Steve's sandwich to show how they serve french fries - they come served on top of the sandwich. The town is surrounded by these huge cliffs - see the second photo with the Chateau de Cassis that overlooks the harbor.
After we had spent a few hours in the town, we drove up to the trails on top of the cliffs that had spectacular lookouts onto the town and the harbor. Unfortunately, I took these pictures into the sun, so the photos don't do the view justice to the view, but at least you can get a little bit of an idea how beautiful the view was.
Your blog is fantastic! I've shared with Jess's grandparents! Recent pics look like Steve & Jess finally got some SUN! Keep havin' fun! Russ
