A Walk Across the Ponte Vecchio to Visit the Serrins

After our delicious dinner, we took a walk through the Piazza Della Signoria and across the Ponte Vecchio (a bridge across the Arno River) to the apartment of Richard and Dorothy Serrin. Richard and Dorothy are lifelong friends of my parents - my Dad, Mom and Richard all went to high school together in Evanston, Illinois. Richard and Dorothy have lived in Florence for more than 45 years where Richard has worked as a painter. Their apartment overlooks the Arno River - the two pictures of the river were taken from their apartment window.

Both Richard and Dorothy entertained us with wine and stories of their years in Florence. It was a wonderful evening!
